Extech Portable Salinity Refractometer
This portable refractometer offers accurate, repeatable measurements based on light refraction in liquid. Ideal for accurately monitoring salt content in fisheries, nursery irrigation systems, sea water, etc., this dual-scale salt refractometer provides either parts per thousand of salt dissolved in water or specific gravity of salt water. Place 2 or 3 drops of sample liquid on the specially angled lens and then look through the adjustable eyepiece. Results are shown along an easy-to-read scale inside the eyepiece, and no power source is required for operation. The mirror tube is coated to guard against inaccuracies caused by body heat. Calibration screwdriver, calibration solution, and case included.
